The Apedale Valley Light Railway opening is planned for around Easter, but is dependant on the finalising of the footpath diversion and the railway inspector's report. Subject to those constraints it is hoped that the first passenger services will start at Easter, with specific dates and time being announced nearer the time.

Following the opening, it is intended that trains will run on Saturdays from 11.30am to 4pm.
Fares for normal operating days will will be:

Adults £2
Children £1
Family £5 (up to 5 people with a maximum 2 adults)
Children must be accompanied by an adult

For special events, different fares and fare rules may apply

Trains will be steam hauled only on the second Saturday of the month
